Greenwood Village Website Redesign

Over the past few months, Greenwood Village has been redesigning the Greenwood Village website to align with our newly refreshed brand identity. This redesign is one of the final elements of our brand refresh initiative and is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance visual consistency and digital accessibility.

The project concentrated on improving the user journey to help all website users find the information they need more quickly and easily.

The website is a dynamic communication tool, and we will continue to make minor adjustments as we test it and receive feedback from citizens. We encourage you to explore the new website and share your thoughts with us!

ArapAlert Relaunch

Sign Up Today for Emergency Alerts

Everyone — including those previously registered — must opt in to ArapAlert again to continue receiving alerts and access the platform’s new features.

The Greenwood Village Police Department (GVPD) and the Arapahoe County 9-1-1 Authority, along with partner agencies, have announced major upgrades to ArapAlert, the County’s emergency notification and 9-1-1 enhancement system that helps keep residents informed and first responders better prepared during emergencies.

ArapAlert allows residents to receive timely alerts about wildfires, evacuations, hazmat incidents, shelter-in-place orders, and other emergency situations via phone call, text message, email, and mobile app push notification — using multiple methods to increase the likelihood of notification. The upgraded system is powered by advanced mapping technology that enables first responders to target alerts to specific neighborhoods or even individual streets. This precision reduces confusion, improves communication, and helps ensure faster, safer evacuations.

GVPD encourages all who live or work in Arapahoe County to sign up for these alerts. Learn more and sign up today.

The City of Greenwood Village was awarded a total of $810,000 through two grants from Arapahoe County’s Open Spaces Shareback & Grant Awards Ceremony on September 25. These funds will be used to build a new accessible restroom facility in Carson Park and for the design and construction of an irrigation system to support trees along the City’s 5.6 miles of the High Line Canal.

Arapahoe County presented awards and grants totaling $27.4 million to open space and park projects across 12 communities and recreation districts as part of its 2025 Shareback and Open Space Grants Program. Each of these funded projects supports Arapahoe County’s mission to build stronger, healthier communities and enhance residents’ quality of life.
