Curtis Center for the Arts2349 East Orchard RoadGreenwood VillageCO80121 Meet the Artists of Month of Photography
Meet the Artists of Month of Photography2023-03-30T18:00:00They say the eyes are the window to the soul. The two artists in this exhibit convey the innermost and outer most beauty of humankind. Ron Cooper has traveled the world in pursuit of images that reflect local cultures and people. His photographs are intended to convey a sense of place, personality and emotion. While his photographs document the many differences in appearance, dress, culture, and faith, he hopes they also convey the fact that our similarities and "connectedness" as humans far outweigh those superficial differences. Jaime Belkind-Gerson creates his work with the images that surround him daily: X rays, CT scans, MRI's through which our internal reality and beauty is manifest. These, he combines with other images that reflect our external world. They are manipulated with specifically designed software algorithms. Although these artists create their images very differently, both of them emphasize humankind’s reflections from within.
This event will take place at Koebel Library in the Forum Room 5955 South Holly StreetCentennial CO80121 |
