Mayor's Message

At the January 6 City Council Meeting, The City of Greenwood Village recognized Planning and Zoning Commission Chair Brian Strandes for his nine years of dedication and service following his final two-year term in December.

National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day is celebrated annually on February 15. The City of Greenwood Village would like to recognize the dedication of our SRO team to help keep our schools safe. Sock Drive

Thank you to all of the community members who donated to our annual drive benefitting Sock it to ’Em Sock Campaign! All of your new sock donations will be distributed to people experiencing homelessness in the metro Denver area through Sock it to ’Em’s charitable partnerships. Learn more about Sock it to ’Em.

The 2025 Community Events & Activities lineup has been announced! Resident tickets for the Egg Hunt on Thursday, April 17 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Westlands Park will be available for registration beginning Monday, March 3.

All Classes Relocated through March: The classroom at Curtis Center for the Arts is temporarily closed for renovations and accessibility updates. Youth Art Career Event

The Greenwood Village Arts & Humanities Council and Curtis Center for the Arts present Creative Futures: Empowering Tomorrow’s Artists, a free art career event for youth ages 13 to 20. Held Saturday, April 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain, this hands-on event is designed for students passionate about pursuing careers in the arts. Learn more and register for Creative Futures.

Art Film Screening at The Landmark

The Greenwood Village Arts & Humanities Council, Curtis Center for the Arts and Denver Film are pleased to partner with Denver Film to present a screening of “Basquiat” at The Landmark at Greenwood Village on Thursday, March 13. Ticket price is $18, screening is at 6:30 p.m. Get tickets.

Perserverance 

The themes in “Perseverance” reflect the presence of uncertainty in our current time. Some works invoke longing and remembrance, others wonder and possibility. Featuring pieces by longtime friends Alicia Bailey, Catherine Chauvin, Melinda Laz, and Sharon Strasburg, the show is unified by a shared interest in the natural landscape of Colorado, memory, history and nostalgia. Viewers are invited to slow down, observe, and indulge in their curiosity. Now open through Saturday, February 22. Learn more about Curtis Center exhibits.

Senior Social
Meet new people, engage in mild exercises, dance, and learn new culinary and cultural skills at this free senior program every Monday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Curtis Center for the Arts.

  • Senior Activity: "Exploring Information Technology" on Thursday, March 27 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Maintenance Facility. $5 registration fee. Register here.
