Activities & Events

Greenwood Village offers a wide variety of recreational and cultural activities that appeal to all ages from "pee wee" to seniors. In addition to sports and art activities, residents enjoy art exhibits, lectures, and outdoor concerts. Outdoor interests can be pursued in the many open spaces, parks, playgrounds, and shelters or on the pedestrian, equestrian and bicycle trails that wind through the Village.

There are also many dining and shopping opportunities within the Village.

2022 Activities & Events in the Village  

April

  • April 2- April 30: Month of Print: Just one of the many exhibits that are part of the Month of Print in the Denver metro area, this traveling exhibit, featuring 130 small prints, was developed by the Boston Printmakers Association and features printmakers from across the country. Prompted by the theme of “communication,” with a suggested image size of that of a cell phone, but no larger than 8”x10”, members of the Boston Printmakers were asked to create prints about “messaging,” “news,” or content they wanted to “post.” Curtis Center for the Arts (M-F 8:30-4:30, Sat 10-4).

    Colorado’s Highest: The History of Naming the 14,000-Foot Peaks

    A new book about how all 58 mountains were named and who first climbed them. Enjoy John’s amazing photographs, Bob Wogrin’s sublime paintings, and historical Hayden Survey sketches, while Jeri discusses the fascinating history.


    Weld County: 4,000 Square Miles of Grandeur, Greatness & Yesterdays

    A new book about the Colorado prairie and our 3rd largest county. From the Poudre to the Platte to the Pawnee Buttes, John’s photography of the High Plains rivals that of Colorado’s highest peaks, which also have their own special history. Book sale and signing of these 2 books and all of John Fielder’s Colorado books and 2022 calendars before and after the show!   • Saturday, April 30, Fishing Derby, 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m., Tommy Davis Park.  A special event for the residents of the City of Greenwood Village.  Ticket are available HERE.

  • May 14th- June 25th Susan Cooper- Rearranging- The Curtis Center for the Arts is honored to show the works of Denver-based artist, Susan Cooper. This exhibit will highlight works from her early career as well as featuring dynamic new works that were influenced by her past. Currently residing in Cherry Hills Village, CO, Susan’s works can be seen at the Denver Art Museum, Kirkland Museum of Fine and Decorative Art, Denver City Building, and many other collections across the country. Her public art installations are spread throughout the state of Colorado as well as many other parks, universities and 13 RTD stations around Denver. Made from oil, acrylic, resin, steel, glass, and plexiglass, Susan’s work continually addresses the spaces in which we all live, changing as our environment and our lives transform.
