Leaf Drop-Off

Leaf Drop-Off Program Updated for 2025

With the fall season comes leaves and yard debris. The City of Greenwood Vlilage street sweepers are not equipped to pick up leaves, so the City offers a convenient place to dispose of your fallen leaves. Residents are invited to bring loose or bagged leaves on three separate days throughout the fall season at Village Greens Park, North Parking Lot at 9501 E. Union Avenue. Please note the Leaf Drop-Off service is only available to residents of Greenwood Village. Contractors are not permitted to use this service.

Leaf drop-off is available between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on these days only:

  • Tuesday, October 28
  • Thursday, November 6
  • Saturday, November 15

We encourage this environmentally friendly option, as staff will spread and disk the material into the soil to add nutrients and help retain moisture in Greenwood Village parks, trails and open spaces. For more information about the Leaf Drop-Off program, email Parks, Trails, and Recreation or call 303-486-5773.

Additional Leaf Disposal Options

  • Arrange for your lawn care provider to remove and dispose of the leaves when performing your yard service. Please do not direct them to take them to Village Greens Park, as no contractor waste will be accepted.
  • Bag your leaves in compostable paper yard waste bags and place them out with your weekly trash pick-up. You can also use plastic lawn waste bags, but paper is preferred over plastic. Waste Connections has no limit on the number of bags, but they may not be able to pick up all bags in one visit. Waste Connections to learn more.
