New Improvements to Building Permit ProcessGreenwood Village has improved its online permitting process by integrating two systems, ProjectDox and Cityworks, to a single portal in Cityworks. Applicants can now log in, submit applications, upload plans, schedule inspections, and research results, all in one place. The portal can be accessed by selecting "Online Access Portal" on the Community Development website page For any questions about the new process, email Community Development or call 303-486-5783.

Police Launch Drone as First Responder ProgramAs part of the 2026 Annual Operating and Capital Improvement Budget, Greenwood Village City Council authorized the Greenwood Village Police Department (GVPD) to implement a Drone as a First Responder (DFR) program to support and enhance the police department’s capabilities when responding to priority calls for service. GVPD has partnered with BRINC, a Seattle-based company specializing in U.S.-manufactured drones for public safety applications, to lease one DFR drone for up to five years. Calling All Teens: Apply Now for Youth-At-Large PositionsKnow a teen looking for a volunteer opportunity that helps give back to the community? Encourage them to apply for two open Youth-At-Large positions on Greenwood Village’s Boards and Commissions: one for the Parks, Trails, and Recreation Commission and one for the the Arts and Humanities Council. These youth positions are active members of their respective boards, attending regular meetings and working alongside other members to advise City Council on various initiatives, events and programs. Both positions serve two-year terms. Applicants must be between ages of 15-18, or a sophomore, junior or senior in high school at the time of appointment and must have resided within Greenwood Village for at least one year immediately preceding the date of the appointment. Interested applicants are invited to view the respective meeting schedules, learn more about each board’s role and responsibilities and apply online. Candidates will be invited to interview with one or more members of City Council. For more information, contact the City Clerk’s Office at 303-486-5752.

Recreation Aide Applications Opening SoonKnow a teen looking for a summer job? Encourage them to apply to become a Recreation Aide with our Parks, Trails, and Recreation Department! These part-time positions are open to teens aged 14 and older who are available to work approximately 12 to 15 hours a week. Recreation Aides support Greenwood Village youth recreation and art programs, sports leagues, and special events. Interested applicants are invited to apply online beginning Monday, March 9.

ArapAlertSign Up Today for Emergency AlertsArapAlert, the emergency notification system used by Greenwood Village Police and Arapahoe County partner agencies, allows residents to receive timely alerts about wildfires, evacuations, hazmat incidents, shelter-in-place orders, and other emergencies via phone call, text message, email, and mobile app push notifications. GVPD encourages all who live or work in Arapahoe County to sign up for these alerts. Important notice: If you subscribed prior to October 2025, you must opt in to the new system to continue to receive alerts. Learn more and sign up today.

Winter Film ScreeningsThe members of the Greenwood Village Arts and Humanities Council and the staff at the Curtis Center are pleased to present a Winter Film Series, which will be held on the first Wednesdays in February, March and April 2026.
