East Powers Avenue Sidewalk Renovations

The sidewalk and retaining wall on East Powers Avenue, directly south of Greenwood Elementary, recently got a makeover. In August, Greenwood Village installed a new concrete retaining wall to replace the failing timber retaining wall, and the new sidewalk was widened to 8 feet to better accommodate pedestrians and snow removal operations.

In addition, the project also included a new Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant ramp, drainage improvements, and new cobble and mulch landscaping.

Leaf Drop-Off Program Update

This year, Greenwood Village will modify the leaf drop-off program at Village Greens Park to specific dates, enhancing staff’s ability to properly receive and process the leaves in a more beneficial way. These dates and times will be posted on our website in the coming weeks and included in the October Newsletter. We appreciate your understanding regarding this change.

Residents can still bag leaves and set them out with the weekly trash collection. Waste Connections does not impose a limit on the number of leaf bags they will collect. However, if some bags are not picked up, they will return once they have unloaded.
