2024 General ElectionIn the November 5, 2024, General Election, voters will cast their ballots for the candidates for federal, state, county offices, state citizen initiatives and ballot questions. |
Cherry Creek Dam Road ClosureArapahoe County will close the Cherry Creek Dam Road during the day for three weeks in October to complete roadway repairs. The closure will go through Oct. 18 (Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.), weather permitting. The road will be closed at South Vaughn Way and the intersection of South Dayton Street and East Union Avenue. During the work hours, motorists may use I-225 or South Parker Road as alternate routes, as well as a combination of South Yosemite Street and East Hampden Avenue. Learn more about the closure.

Arapahoe County Grant Supports New Restroom and Pavilion at Carson ParkThe City of Greenwood Village was awarded $148,500 in grant funding from Arapahoe County to design a new restroom and pavilion at Carson Park during the County’s Open Spaces Shareback & Grant Awards Ceremony on Sept. 18 at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds & Event Center. Greenwood Village will provide matching funds of $16,500 toward the design project, which is included in the City’s 2024 Capital Improvement Program funding. Learn more about the award.

Leaf Drop-Off ProgramGreenwood Village offers an easy way to keep your leaves out of the landfill. Leaves can be dropped off loose or in bags any day of the week starting October 11, and ending December 1, 2024, in the dedicated area of the north parking lot at Village Greens Park, 9501 E. The Curtis Center for the Arts is proud to present “Peter Durst/ Stan Meyer: Two Friends-100 Years of Art”. Durst and Meyer are longtime friends with mutual interests in form, pattern, and color. Durst's ceramic sculptures and Meyer’s weavings and paintings stand the test of time and make for a dynamic exhibition.
