How Do I Sign Up for Reverse 911?
The citizen alert system will already have your land-line telephone numbers so you do not need to worry about providing that information. How Do I Report a Coyote Sighting or an Aggressive Coyote?
If you happen to see a coyote wandering in Greenwood Village, please call the Police Department at 303-773-2525. The Police Department is actively keeping record of coyote activity in the village, which will assist in managing the coyote population. If you encounter an aggressive coyote, dial 911.

Do I Need a Permit to Have a Parade or a Block Party?
The village does require a street use permit anytime you would like to use a public roadway for an event. To obtain a street use application, call the Police Department at 303-773-2525.

How do I get my vehicle out of impound?
Please contact the Police Department (303-773-2525), to determine if there are any police holds on your vehicle. If your vehicle is able to be released, please visit the Police Department at any time to complete the paperwork. Be sure to bring your ID and proof of ownership, such as the registration. The Police Department can release the vehicle only to an individual whose name is listed on the vehicle registration.

How Do I get A Vehicle Identificaiton Number (VIN) Verification?
The Greenwood Village Police Department is available to perform standard VIN Verifications, DR2698 for RESIDENTS only. Please note the Greenwood Village Police Department only performs VIN Verifications not Certified VIN Inspections, DR2408. Please contact Colorado State Patrol at 303-239-4545 for more information regarding Certified VIN Inspections. The vehicle must be available for inspection at the time of the VIN Inspection and you must be able to provide proof of ownership, title or registration. Call the Police Department at 303-773-2525 to make an appointment. There is NO charge for Residents.

How Do I Apply for a Security Guard License?
Any Merchant Patrol Service company performing uniformed or armed protection services in the City of Greenwood Village is required to have a current Security Guard License. To apply for a Security Guard License, please complete the attached application and submit it along with $100.00 annual licensing fee, made payable to the "City of Greenwood Village." Also required is a copy of your companies surety bond, naming the City of Greenwood Village, as additional insured in the amount of $10,000.00. While the Greenwood Village Police Department does not issue individual guard licenses, we encourage you to utilize the Colorado Bureau of Investigations to conduct a criminal background investigation on merchant guard you may hire.
