Creative Approaches to Abstraction

Learn how to design and craft abstract artwork through creative problem solving and experimentation. Students will learn how to construct abstractions by using core design principles alongside abstract design elements like line, shape, color, value, scale, and texture. A variety of painting and mixed media techniques will be used, and students will also explore abstract art as a communicative and expressive tool. This workshop provides robust approaches to the creative process and abstract painting. Instructed by Julia Rymer
