Southeast Metro Natural Gas Project
Xcel Energy will be replacing 5.2 miles of natural gas line for the Southeast Metro Natural Gas Project. The project will connect to aboveground natural gas regulator stations and is being constructed as a part of their commitment to system revitalization, allowing for the ability to provide the safe, reliable natural gas service.
Construction Schedule
Construction activities will cross Union Avenue between Dayton and Yosemite streets. This work will start as early as Saturday, March 13, 2021 and is anticipated to continue through Sunday, March 21, 2021. Work will take place during Cherry Creek Public School's spring break to limit area inconveniences.
During construction, you may notice:
• Traffic control measures including flaggers and shifting lanes.
• Pedestrian detours along Union Avenue.
• Elevated levels of noise.
