As we enter into the fall season, keeping Greenwood Village clean will continue to be a priority. Please do not place loose leaves or yard debris in the street as our sweepers are not equipped to pick-up large piles of leaves. Here are some options for disposing of your leaves:
- Arrange for your lawn care provider to remove the leaves when performing your yard service.
- Bag your leaves in compostable paper yard waste bags and place them out with your weekly trash pick-up. There is no limit as to how many bags of leaves you can place at the curb on your trash service day.
- Recycle your leaves at Village Greens Park. Leaves can be dropped off loose between October 8 and November 9 in the dedicated area on the north side of the parking lot. This option is environmentally friendly as staff will then be spreading and disking into the soil where native grass cannot be established adding nutrients, helping with moisture and also providing a place for soil bore microorganisms to live. It does not impact the landfill and it is cost effective.
