Pastel Society of Colorado 19th annual Mile High International Pastel Exhibition

Friday, May 12, 2023

The Curtis Center for the Arts is honored to host the 19th Annual Mile High International Pastel Exhibition. The exhibit showcases 85 paintings in a variety of styles and subject matter. This year’s juror is Aaron Shuerr, an accomplished pastel artist from Montana. Aaron has chosen 85 pieces from 328 entries submitted by 117 artists from across the country. There is an excellent chance that with a visit to this show you will fall in love with at least one painting. Throughout the exhibit on certain weekends, the Pastel Society of Colorado will be holding demonstrations presented by their members, which is an excellent way to become familiar with this fabulous medium. PSC will be celebrating their 30th anniversary in 2024 and has over 300 members making it one of the largest in the country. Demos: May 27th, 10-1 pm: Diane Fechenbach June 17th, 10-1 pm: Sandy Marvin June 10th, 11-2 pm: Jeanette Stutzman and Sarah St. George
