Come to the Curtis Center and learn how to draw with well-known artist and instructor Charles Parson. This class is designed as an entry level drawing class which will emphasize the core traditions of basic drawing.
Students will be introduced to mark making through working with charcoal, graphite, and pencil to create quick sketches and constructive drawings. Sight observation is the core of this introduction class that will lay the groundwork for future classes in which development into more abstract and imaginative-based works can be pursued.
The goal for this class is for students to develop a foundation for an individual visual vocabulary that they can use confidently in any art class.
