The Greenwood Village Arts and Humanities Council is pleased to offer two college scholarships, each valued at $5,000 for students pursuing a degree in the arts. Additionally, $500. is awarded to the recipients’ high school fine arts department to be used for the development of excellence in the arts.
The scholarship is available to graduating seniors who attend an Arapahoe County high school or who are residents of Greenwood Village. The student must be planning to enroll as a full-time student at a college or arts school majoring in either the performing, visual, literary arts or other related fields. Examples of majors include but are not limited to: Visual arts: graphic arts, photography, sculpture, painting, sketching, etc.Performing arts: theater, music, dance, etc.Literary arts: poetry, novels, plays, short stories, etc. Other: Film, Architecture other art related studies
Candidates should be talented, dedicated students who exhibit great promise and passion in their chosen field and who plan to pursue the arts in the future.
Confirmation of acceptance to the applicant’s post graduate institution of choice must be submitted prior to certification of the award. Additionally, evidence of full-time enrollment must be provided.
