Vacation House Watch

Vacation House Watch Program

Village residents preparing to leave on vacation can make the time away from home even more relaxing by taking advantage of the police department’s Vacation House Watch service.   The service consists of an officer checking your home and patrolling your street more frequently while you are away.  Each time an officer conducts a watch, the date and time is logged, and if there is a problem, the officer will notify you or a designated caretaker.   To set up a vacation house watch, please call the Greenwood Village Police Department at (303) 773-2525 and be prepared to provide the information below, or you can sign up on line here.

The following information is requested for a vacation house watch service to begin:

  • Homeowner's Name.
  • Homeowner's Address.
  • Homeowner's Phone Number.
  • Date and time of your departure and your return.
  • Have you designated a responsible party with a key to your home while you are away?  If the answer is yes, provide his/her name, address, and contact number.
  • Have you appointed a house-sitter to be in your home while you are away?  If the answer is yes, provide his/her name, address, and contact number.
  • Will there be any vehicles parked in the driveway or in front of your home while you are away?  If the answer is yes, provide the vehicle(s) year, make, model, color, and registration.
  • Will there be pets at your home?  If the answer is yes, who will be taking care of them?
  • Will there be lights on?  If the answer is yes, are they on timers?
