Youth Programs

 

Fall registration begins August 2, 2010, for Greenwood Village residents. All others may register beginning August 9, 2010.  Click on the links below for program information.  For more information you may call 303-486-5773.

 

 

Youth Lacrosse Camp

Village Greens Park

9301 East Union Avenue

When: Monday-Wednesday

   September 13-September 15

Time: 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Grades: 1st-4rd Boys & Girls

Fee: $30

 

 

Come and learn a new sport and meet some new friends.  Camp will consist of skill development and scrimmages in a non-competitive environment.  All participants are required to bring their own sticks and mouth guards.

 

 

 

 

 

Youth Skateboard Camp

Carson Skate Park

6060 South Quebec Street

When: Tuesdays & Wednesdays

   September 14-15, September

   21-22

Time: 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Grades: K-4th

Fee: $40

 

 

Ever wanted to learn how to skate board in the skate park?  Join this camp and learn the skills and tricks you need to ride in the park.  Also learn skate park etiquette and other tricks to take your skills to the next level.  This camp will be taught by BC Skate Shop.  Participants need to bring their own skateboard, helmet, wrist guards and knee pads.

 

 

Pee Wee Soccer "FUN"damentals

Silo Park

9300 East Orchard Road

When: Wednesdays

    September 15-September 29

Time:  4:00-4:45 p.m.

Ages: 4-5 years old

Fee: $30 (includes participation prize)

 

 

 

This program is designed to introduce the game of soccer in a fun & non-competitive way.  Staff will use imaginative games and fun experiences to teach the skills of soccer.  All equipment will be provided by the staff.  Come enjoy an atmosphere where youth will learn a skill, make a friend and get a little exercise through healthy activities. Parents are welcome to stay and watch.

 

 

Youth Flag Football "FUN"damentals

Village Greens Park

9301 East Union Avenue

When: Thursdays

    September 9-September 30

Time: 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Grades: K-4th

Fee: $40 (includes participation prize)

 

 

 

Experience the game of football in a fun, relaxed environment with your friends.  Participants will learn how to pass, catch, kick, and utilize game strategy.  Participants will also play a game every week.  Fun games will be used to introduce the skills.  Join us for healthy exercise and a new sport!  No equipment is required for either program.

 

 

Youth Basketball "Fun"damentals

West Middle School

5151 S. Holly St.

When: Mondays

    September 27-October 11

Time: 6:45-7:30 p.m.

Ages: 6-9 years old

Fee: $40/person (includes participation prize)

 

 

Experience the game of basketball in a fun, relaxed environment with your friends.  Dribbling, passing, shooting and playing games will be introduced in this program.  All equipment will be provided by the staff.  Come enjoy an atmosphere where you will learn a skill, make a friend and get a little exercise through healthy activities. Parents are welcome to stay and watch.

This program is designed to introduce the game of basketball in a fun & non-competitive way.  Staff will use imaginative games and fun experiences to teach the skills of soccer.  All equipment will be provided by the staff.  Come enjoy an atmosphere where youth will learn a skill, make a friend and get a little exercise through healthy activities. Parents are welcome to stay and watch.

 

 

Third Annual Youth Triathlon

When: Sunday morning

    October 10

Greenwood Athletic Club Pool (Swim)

Westlands Park Trails (Bike)

Greenwood Athletic Club Backyard (Run)

Ages: 6-14 years old

Fee: $30

Limited to the first 300 kids

 

 

The Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club and the Village are hosting Tri Our Village, an exciting and invigorating healthy activity for youth of any level of ability. Everyone receives a medal at the completion of the event. It?s an exciting morning of cheering, laughing and smiling at your friends. The elementary school with the most participants wins a prize.
