How Do I Sign Up for Reverse 911?
The citizen alert system will already have your land-line telephone numbers so you do not need to worry about providing that information. If you are interested in being notified of emergencies through other communication devices, simply visit the 
village web site and look for the citizen alert notification sign-up button on the home page. It only takes a few minutes to update your information.

How Do I Report a Coyote Sighting or an Aggressive Coyote?
If you happen to see a coyote wandering in Greenwood Village, please call the Police Department at 303-773-2525. The Police Department is actively keeping record of coyote activity in the Village, which will assist in managing the coyote population. If you encounter an aggressive coyote, dial 911.

How Do I Get my Fingerprints Taken?
Fingerprinting services are provided on Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The charge is $5.00 per card. Fingerprinting services are only provided to those who live or work in the City of Greenwood Village. You will need to provide valid photo identification at the time of service.  Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card. 

Do I Need a Permit to Have a Parade or a Block Party ?
The Village does require a street use permit anytime you would like to use a public roadway for an event. Submit the completed
street use application with all supporting documentation to the Greenwood Village Police Department, 6060 South Quebec Street, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 or fax to 303-694-5050. You may also email your paperwork to no later than 30 days prior to your event.  If you have additional questions, please call 303-773-2525. Further documentation may be required by staff.

How Do I Get My Vehicle Out of Impound?
Contact the Police Department at 303-773-2525 to determine if there are any police holds on your vehicle.  If your vehicle is able to be released, please visit the Police Department at any time to complete the paperwork.  Be sure to bring your ID and proof of ownership, such as the registration or title.  The Police Department can release the vehicle only to an individual whose name is listed on the vehicle registrations.    

How Do I Get A Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Verification?
The Greenwood Village Police Department is available to perform standard VIN Verifications, DR2698 for RESIDENTS only.  Please note the Greenwood Village Police Department only performs VIN Verifications not Certified VIN Inspections, DR2408.  Please call Colorado State Patrol at 303-239-4545 for more information regarding Certified VIN Inspections.

The vehicle must be available for inspection at the time of the VIN Inspection and you must be able to provide proof of ownership, title or registration.  Call the Police Department at 303-773-2525 to make an appointment.  There is NO charge for Residents.

How Do I Apply for a Security Guard License?
Any Merchant Patrol Service company performing uniformed or armed protection services in the City of Greenwood Village is required to have a current Security Guard License.  To apply for a Security Guard License, please complete the attached application and submit it along with $100.00 annual licensing fee, made payable to the "City of Greenwood Village."  Also required is a copy of your companies surety bond, naming the City of Greenwood Village, as additional insured in the amount of $10,000.00.  While the Greenwood Village Police Department does not issue individual guard licenses, we encourage you to utilize the Colorado Bureau of Investigations to conduct a criminal background investigation on merchant guard you may hire.  If you have any additional questions, contact the Police Department at 303-773-2525. 

How Do I Register My Bicycle?
Help prevent bike theft!  Residents can now register their bicycle with the Greenwood Village Police Department.  Provide your contact information and your bicycle description to include the serial number on our bicycle registration form.  The information will be stored in our official database.  An official GVPD bicycle registration tag will be provided that can be affixed to your bicycle.  If your bicycle is ever lost, stolen or recovered, we can check the database and return the bicycle to the rightful owner.  The registry makes it difficult for bicycle thieves to sell or pawn a registered bicycle.  Thieves noticing the tag are opt to look for another easier opportunity.  All information will be kept private and not disseminated.  To complete the registration online, click here or the attached downloadable pdf form.    Contact the Greenwood Village Police Department at 303-773-2525 or
