Blue birdLiving with Birds
Greenwood Village is home to numerous species of birds including songbirds, waterfowl and birds of prey. In the Village open space, parks, and along the trail systems, many bird species can be observed.

Baby birds are abundant in the spring. When young birds begin to fly, they often spend time on the ground before they perfect their flying skills. If this appears to be the case, leave the bird alone and let them learn to fly. If you find a bird that has fallen out of its nest, return it to the nest if you can do so safely. Or, place the bird on a high branch to keep it away from pets.
