Greenwood Village Commissions
Greenwood Village has several boards and commissions which advise the mayor and City Council on issues related to parks, trails, recreation and cultural arts. A resident can volunteer to serve on a board or commission if he or she is a registered voter and has lived in the Village for at least one year. Each board and commission consists of two residents from each of the four council districts and is appointed to a two-year term.

The Parks, Trails, and Recreation Commission is responsible for making recommendations on issues impacting parks and trails such as park development plans for approval by City Council. The Village involves youth in municipal government through the youth at-large position on the Parks, Trails, and Recreation Commission.

The Greenwood Village Arts and Humanities Council promotes and participates in village community arts and cultural art programs.

For up-to-date information on the Parks, Trails, and Recreation Commission and Arts and Humanities Council, see the agendas and minutes.

For more information about the activities of the boards and commissions described above, please contact the Department of Parks, Trails, and Recreation at 303-486-5773 or email Julie Liggett. If you are interested in serving on a commission, please submit a letter of interest and resume to Susan Phillips.
