Election Results
Election results will begin posting at 7:00 p.m. on November 4, 2025, after the polls close.
Results will be updated throughout the evening as ballots are processed, and additional updates may occur during the cure period—the time when voters can fix issues with their ballot, such as a missing or mismatched signature. Please note that all results are unofficial until every valid ballot has been counted and certified. The Official Results will be finalized after the Arapahoe County Canvass Board meets. The tentative certification date is November 25, 2025.
2025 Municipal Election
The 2025 Municipal Election will be a coordinated election with Arapahoe County and held on November 4, 2025. Elections will be held for eight seats on the Greenwood Village City Council.
The City of Greenwood Village is divided into four Districts. Each District is represented by two City Councilmembers who serve concurrent two-year terms, and are eligible to serve up to four consecutive terms. The Office of Mayor is not up for election until 2027.
City elections are non-partisan, meaning affiliation with a political party is not required or relevant. Municipal elections are held on odd-numbered years and are administered by the City Clerk, under the Greenwood Village Home Rule Charter, Municipal Code of the City of Greenwood Village and Colorado State Statutes.
Candidate Information
Candidate information packets will be available for pickup from the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall beginning Thursday, July 3. A candidate must possess the following qualifications to run for office be a United States Citizen; be a registered elector; be 18 years of age by Election Day; and have lived in Greenwood Village and the specific District for one year immediately preceding the election.
Candidates for the office of City Council must be nominated by at least twenty (20) registered electors from their respective District. The first day nomination petitions can be circulated is Monday, July 7. Nomination petitions must be submitted to the City Clerk’s office by Monday, August 25.

Voter Registration
Registering for the first time in Colorado
You must meet the following qualifications in order to register to vote:
• A citizen of the United States
• A resident of Colorado for 22 days prior to the election
• At least 16 years old, with the understanding that you must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible to vote
• Provide a valid Colorado Driver's License or Colorado ID card or present one of the acceptable forms of identification for voting
Register to Vote Online
If you have a Colorado State driver’s license or ID card issued by the Department of Revenue, you may register to vote, change your address, update your current registration or check the status of your registration online at www.govotecolorado.com.
Register to Vote by Paper Form
Complete and sign a Voter Registration Form and submit it to the Arapahoe County Elections Division in-person or by mail, email or fax with a photocopy of an Acceptable Form of Identification.

A Voter Confirmation Card will be mailed to you approximately 1-2 weeks after your application form is processed.
Register to Vote In-Person
You may also request and submit a Voter Registration Form at any office of the County Clerk and Recorder, City or Town Clerk, High School, or at any Colorado Driver’s License office. You may also register to vote in-person through a voter registration drive in your community. A Voter Confirmation Card will be mailed to you approximately 1-2 weeks after your Voter Registration Application form is processed.

Voter Registration Deadlines
You may register to vote at any time in Colorado, but if you wish to vote in an upcoming election, you must register by the following deadlines:
• 22 Days before Election Day if you register to vote through a voter registration drive or a Voter Registration Agency
• 8 Days before Election Day if you register to vote by mail or online through www.govotecolorado.com and wish to receive a ballot by mail
• By 7 p.m. on Election Day, visit one of the Voter Service and Polling Centers in your county to register to vote in-person and request a ballot.
Military Personnel and Overseas Residents
In addition to the qualifications listed above, military personnel and their dependents temporarily living outside of Colorado, and Village residents temporarily living overseas, must not be registered to vote in another state if they wish to register to vote in Colorado. But you must act now to register and request your ballot by visiting Arapahoevotes.com or VAP.gov.
Campaign Forms
All candidates, candidate committees, political committees, issue committees, small donor committees and political parties committees are required to file certain forms, whether or not contributions have been collected or expenditures made during an election. The purpose of this requirement is to allow interested citizens to know who is financing activities to support or oppose the election of a candidates or ballot issues.
All candidates, candidate committees, political committees, issue committees, small donor committees and political parties committees must use forms provided by the City to meet the reporting requirements. For the purpose of meeting the filing requirements for candidates or committees under the Village’s Campaign Reporting process, electronic copies shall be accepted; provided that original documents are received by the City Clerk within five (5) days from the date of the electronic filing pursuant to Chapter 2, Article 1, section 130 of the Greenwood Village Municipal Code, except for the Candidate Affidavit and the Political Committee Affidavit which requires notarization.
Reports/Forms required are deemed timely if received by the City Clerk no later than 5 p.m., local time, on the designated day for filing. Reports are public records and are open to public inspection during regular business hours.
