It is the goal of the Detective Unit to solve as many felony crimes as possible. Greenwood Village Police Department Detectives generally investigate all felony crimes. Depending on the circumstances, the Detective Unit will also investigate certain misdemeanor crimes.
The Detective Unit is responsible for:
Identifying, locating, interviewing and arresting criminal suspects.
Locating and interviewing victims and witnesses.
Locating, identifying and preserving physical evidence.
Presenting criminal cases to the District Attorney's Office for prosecution.
Recovering stolen property.
